Golf Meadowmeer Golf & Country Club - Semi-private The 9-hole "Meadowmeer" course at the Meadowmeer Golf & Country Club facility features 2,824 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35 on rye grass. Designed by Sam Clark, the Meadowmeer golf course opened in 1972. This hilly course is well manicured, features narrow fairways and is beautiful to see. The small greens are well bunkered, fast, and somewhat difficult to read. The course will provide a good test for your golf skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is also a covered driving range.
Wing Point Golf & Country Club - Private This course's back nine has water hazards coming into play on eight holes. Many shots will require perfect placement in order to hit the small target areas. Jack Frei designed nine new holes in 1991. The quiet, intimacy and unhurried pace of life makes Wing Point Golf & Country Club a sanctuary for kingfishers, waterfowl, hawk and herons. In 1903, some people who summered on the island fashioned a few golf holes out of an apple orchard in the vicinity of the current 7th tee. Since then, venerable Wing Point has developed into a fabulous golf course. Wing Point's Golf Course offers challenging bunker-surrounded greens, blind holes, water hazards, tree-lined fairways and a challenge to players of all skill levels. |
