Transportation

Getting around Bainbridge Island is easy given that the Island is only 28 square miles. We walk, we bike, and we drive. But, in terms of public transportation, getting to the Island from Seattle is via the Washington State Ferry System. Getting around the Island or off the Island to neighboring cities is via Kitsap County Transit. Kitsap County Transit also operates a variety of specialty busses for those with physical challenges and special needs. Local taxi service is available as well as limousine service to and from SeaTac Airport.

Washington State Ferries
The Washington State Ferry System is the primary route to Seattle and beyond. Their Website comes in especially handy when you can't find one of the dozen ferry schedules you have lying around the house.

Ferry Web Cameras
Want to know how long the queue is to get on the ferry? Check out the ferry cam! There are five (5) live web cameras providing views of the ferry terminal for Bainbridge Island and downtown Seattle at Colman Dock.

The Bainbridge Island to Seattle cam shows activity at the car holding area on Bainbridge. The Colman Dock North Slip 3 cam and Colman Dock South Slip 2 cam show the two departure areas that serve the Bainbridge Island and Bremerton routes.
